Introduction to Guyana Agri Connect
Guyana Agri Connect is a dynamic, multi-stakeholder partnership designed to strengthen and transform Guyana’s agricultural market system. As a collaborative framework, it brings together a wide array of partners—including the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), government agencies, private sector actors, NGOs, and farmers—with a shared mission to drive sustainable growth, innovation, and resilience in the agricultural sector.
A Philosophy of Partnership: “Growing Together - Gaining Together”
At its core, Guyana Agri Connect is about “Growing Together - Gaining Together.” This guiding philosophy reflects the group's belief that true progress in agriculture stems from meaningful partnerships. By leveraging the unique strengths of each stakeholder, the partnership seeks to tackle persistent challenges, unlock new opportunities, and create a more inclusive and productive agricultural ecosystem for all.
Key Roles Within the Partnership
As the lead convener, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), through its Agriculture Committee, plays a central role in coordinating and facilitating engagement across sectors. By fostering collaboration and aligning efforts, GCCI ensures cohesive action and strategic direction throughout the partnership.
